UNF Volunteer Nurses

For this story, I conducted research and interviewed a local group of retired nurses working to give back to the community. The program that they created helps student nurses and local citizens who need medical attention.

Jacksonville Magazine: Let's Ta-Ta-Talk About It

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I constructed a tip-focused article about the reality of the need to be screened. I interviewed multiple doctors on certain topics I felt would be helpful to the readers in order to provide the most helpful information.
Food for Thought
The Nutrition and Dietetics program at UNF is making great strides in teaching future professionals how to help others become their healthiest. I interviewed one local student who used her health struggles to as inspiration to achieve her degree and also utilize her knowledge to help herself heal.

Jacksonville Magazine: A Look on the Bright Side

As the beneficiary of one of the magazine's events, I took a deeper look into the organization Barnabas and all that it does for the community. Working with their media coordinator, I collected information, personal stories and photographs to create a piece highlighting this charitable powerhouse that is changing people's lives.

Jacksonville Magazine: Passion for Fashion

The annual Fashion Project hosted by Jacksonville Magazine is an event that invites local designers and models to collaborate in designing fashion pieces that align with the show's theme. In this recap piece, I tell the story of the local event that packs a lot of punch for the community.
